Cheese and more cheese.

July 14, 2017

Well, I'm now married, honeymooned, and rested.  I'm not back at uni to start my final year until mid September, and I've been laid off work at the stables until mid August as most of the horses are on their summer holidays.  Ultimately, all this means I am currently a full time freelance illustrator and artist - which is what dreams are made of!!!

So, what have I been doing?

Well, firstly I've been actually adding items to my Etsy shop.  You can now purchase prints from my shop, with more soon to be on the way!  I'm also selling some Scottish Wildlife teatowels which are really lovely (I'm biased I know, but this is one time I'm feeling confident in my own work).  All these are available to buy from the 'Shop' tab in the menu on my site.

I'm currently working on a really nice project which involves one of my favourite things - CHEESE!  I'm excited about moving this on, as I think the end result is going to be awesome.  There is a cheese print No.1 in my shop also!

I'm looking into getting some professional greetings cards done at the moment, as although my home printer is very good quality, I want to go a bit more premium (when John Lewis is the dream, you have to put a bit of extra effort in!)  So hopefully I'll have a few arriving this week, so I can take them with me to meet some potential clients I'm meeting.

I'm also working on illustrating a Children's book right now, which is LOADS of fun.  This is by far my favourite sort of thing to work on (even better than drooling over illustrating cheese).  I won't say much for now, as I'm approaching agents at the moment, but fingers crossed I receive some positive responses and advice, even if they involve rejection!

Right, I'm off to enjoy my evening celebrating Mac and Cheese Day by obviously making mac and cheese, followed not so obviously by doing a bat survey in the local church!
